Business associations account for 40% of enrollments in the new record 'lobbies' of the National Commission Markets and Competition (CNMC), which are already more than 230 individuals and organizations.
As stated in the record itself, the number of registered professional associations is 95, which include the 'lobbies' reference sectors ranging from motor (Anfac), electricity (UNESA) or insurance (Unespa) to game (ANESAR) or caregivers gardens (Aseja).
Companies that have registered independently only amounted to 20. Among them the best known are sharing trip, Siemens Healthcare, British American Tobacco and EasyJet as well as the grouping of multinational companies by Mark Spain.
Together with business associations, another large group of registered what shape the entities to which the CNMC categorized as consulting services and advice. In this category are the main communication agencies and public relations of the country as well as legal and business consulting profile.
The record also includes 42 non-governmental organizations, of which the majority, 38, are foundations. From the consumer organization OCU to the Spanish Confederation of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) or the Spanish Defense Council Disability and Dependency appear in this category.
They have also approached the CNMC a total of eleven organizations from science and research, as calculated by the regulator, which has been a pioneer in Spain in the development of a record of this type.
CONTROL OF STAKEHOLDERS.
The body chaired by José María Marín Quemada defends the initiative for seeking transparency and control over the activity of the various stakeholders, which considers legitimate and even necessary.
The purpose of registration, said the CNMC, is to create an institutional mechanism to ward off the ability of any group to influence unfairly regulator, whether or not exactly aligned with the general interest.
Registration, which is voluntary, requires associations to identify the interests they represent, people who act as partners and enterprises or participants who make up the organization.
